Community

The Calvert County Watermen's Association participates in many local events. Our Association has participated in prior "Patuxent River Clean Up Days" wherein as a team we removed over 2 tons of trash and debris from the local Solomons Island area waterways. Other events have included Bayfest in North Beach, Patuxent River Appreciation Days, Solomons Maritime Festival and Bernie Fowler's Wade-In. We have announced our 2021 Scholarship recipient. Her name is Emma Schiemer and she will be attending Lock Haven University in the fall to pursue Political Science. Her member sponsor is Irvin Chappelear.
